Cape Gkinas
A late medieval observatory on the impressive and rugged Cape Gkinas on the east coast of Rhodes, south of Lindos and SE of the village of Pefkoi. Cape Gkinas is also known by other names: Cape Lindos or Cape Lardos or Cape Fokas. The last name is recorded on the map of the British Admiralty (1941), which is why Peter Lock (2006) speaks of "Fokas tower".
